            The current world enjoys a vast technological era where almost everything is adapting the digital form. The unfortunate eventuality on this development is that it is not only limited to the positive side but we do have people that utilize technology to commit cyber crimes and also jam police networks so that may not be located (Tosun, 2006). This is the reason why most police departments have adapted to the use of mobile phones in law enforcement because through smart phones it is easy to locate crime scenes and get pictures of suspects. In this paper, we shall be discussing the benefits and disadvantages of the use of mobile phones in implementing the stipulated laws (Tosun, 2006).

Law enforcement is a complex task that needs sophisticated materials and resources that include technology for it to be efficient and effective. It is therefore vital for the police department to be receptive to technological change so as to improve service delivery to the public.
